Allen JimALLEN, Eric James 'Jim' - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eric James Allen (gentleman Jim) at the Brampton Civic Hospital on Thursday July 9, 2020, due to complications from pneumonia at the age of 91.

His loving wife Muriel (nee Eccles) of 67 years and his children David and Jeryl were at his side as he passed peacefully.

Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario, he began his working career assisting the milkman with the horse drawn milk cart. He was recruited by Kimberly-Clark to work in the office at the age of 16 where he remained working for the next 48 years.

It was there he met and married his true love, Muriel. As the result of the Kimberly-Clark relocation to Etobicoke, they moved to the brand new community of Bramalea in 1965.

During his long career at Kimberly-Clark he helped to develop many of the packaging and assembly equipment for the variety of paper products they produced. He retired happily from distinguished service in the engineering field to a life of gardening, cooking, reading, church services, volunteering and doting on his extended family. His love of travel took them all over the world.

He is survived by his loving wife Muriel, his son David (Clare), daughter Jeryl (Bob), and beloved grandchildren Erin, Cameron, Laura (Long), Caroline (Chloe) and John (Shea).

His quiet wit and good sense of humour was enjoyed by all who knew him and his generosity towards his children, grandchildren and his community were greatly appreciated. His impeccable manners and gentle giving nature will be missed by all who knew him.

Public Visitation (*Restrictions) will take place at the Andrews funeral home, 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton on Sunday, July 19th from 11am to 1pm. from Due to the current situation, a private family service(*Restrictions) will be held following the public visitation by invitation only.

As an expression of sympathy, carrying on his love of volunteering and service, and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph of Nazareth Anglican Church in Brampton or Heart House Hospice.
