Sweet MarinaSWEET, Marina Lee - (1944 - 2020) - Marina Lee Sweet passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 29th, 2020 at Markham Stouffville Hospital.

She was born to Wilfred and Marie Sweet on February 20th, 1944 in Digby, Nova Scotia.

She was preceded in death by her two older sisters Mona Lee and Mary Grace (George MacInnis, Middle Cape).

She Leaves behind her two nieces, Marina Lee (Opsahl), Mary (Davis), her nephew Michael (MacInnis), her great nieces and nephews Keith, Jessica, Morgan Tyler and Madison.

She is loved and will be greatly missed by all those in her life who simply called her Auntie, particularly her brother-in-laws family (George MacInnis).

Marina graduated St Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, with her master’s degree in social work.  Marina worked for over 30 years for the Catholic Children’s Aid Society devoting her life to the protection and care of children.

Arrangements with Dixon Garland funeral home. Funeral Mass was held on Friday, July 31st at St Patrick’s Parish in Markham, Ontario.

Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Sick Kids.
