PAPAFOTIS, Vasilios - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vasilios on August 5, 2020.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Ekaterini and his children Olga, Gus (Cathy), and George (Nicole).
He was an extremely proud and loving grandfather of Victoria, Alexis, Christopher, Persephone and Elijah, who will miss him very much.
He will be missed by the many of his nephews, nieces and close friends that live in Canada and in Greece.
He will be reunited in heaven with his parents Konstantinos & Olga, and sisters Margarita & Anthoula.
Vasilios came to Canada in 1974 from his birthplace in Chrysavgi, Greece to start his new life in Canada. He married Ekaterini on October 15, 1975 and later had three children. Vasilios will be remembered for his outgoing personality as he could make friends with everyone young and old, his sense of humour and, his ability to bring joy and laughter to all parties and social gatherings.
Visitation will be held at St. Irene Chrysovalantou Greek Orthodox Church, 66 Gough Ave., Toronto on Monday, August 10, 2020 from 10:00AM - 11:00AM followed by the service.
Due to the ongoing situation regarding COVID-19, we kindly ask that all guests in attendance wear masks and maintain social distancing protocols during the visitations and funeral service.
