Luce ClarenceLUCE, Clarence James - On Monday September 14, 2020, Clarence passed away at the age of 88, surrounded by his loving family.

Clarence was the son of the late Frank and Josephine (Vienneau) Luce.

Beloved husband of the late Frances Luce (Ward)

Loving father of five daughters, Sheila (John), Faye (Kevin), Marilyn (Ted), Sandy (Greg), and Kelly (Shawn).

Proud grandfather of eleven grandchildren, Riley, Conor, Teryn, Hayley, Katelyn, Cameron, Karley, Lindsey, Michael, Taylor, and Meghan.

Loving great-grandfather of Sienna, Kylie, Philip, Sophie, Jackson, Madison, and Brooklyn.

Clarence is predeceased byhisfour sisters, Muriel (William), Eunice (Phelton), Doris (James), Isabel (Randolph), and two brothers, Gordon (Agnes), and Earl (Pat).

He will be missed by several nieces and nephews.

Clarence was born on April 9, 1932 in Bathurst, NB. He left home at the age of seventeen to move to Toronto where he met his loving wife, Frances, of 57 years. He worked at De Havilland Aircraft for most of his life and took great pride in manufacturing many types of airplanes.

Clarence enjoyed playing cards, but his true passion was music. He played the fiddle and guitar at many gatherings and brought joy to many who listened.

His greatest joys, however, were his wife, five daughters or as he called them, “his girls”, family and friends.

Clarence will be remembered for his soft-spoken and gentle manner.

To celebrate Clarence’s life, a small private family service will be held.
