Tallerico EugenioTALLERICO, Eugenio - Eugenio Tallerico was born on July 18, 1933 in Pentone, Calabria, Italy and passed away on September 21, 2020 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at the age of 87 years.

Eugenio is predeceased by his parents Nicola and Rosina Tallerico. The second youngest of his six siblings the late Antonio, Nicola, Lauretta, Giuseppe, and Romolo.

He came to Canada in 1955 in search of opportunity and a better life. He attended night school to learn English. He started his working career in construction but went on to obtain his motor/machinery mechanics license.

He spent most of his career working for Crawford Sand and Gravel where he had the opportunity of working with his brother, Giuseppe. When the company dissolved he completed his working days with Finch Paving.

Eugenio married Franca Pristerà on December 2, 1961. They had 3 children.

He is the loving Father of Rosella (Michael), Nick, and Cathy. Cherished Grandfather of Nicole and Mark. Lovingly remembered by Lindsay.

Eugenio worked hard to provide for this family. Sundays were always committed to his family for various memorable outings and day trips.

Eugenio was a Toronto Maple Leafs hockey fan and enjoyed playing Italian card games with family and friends. Making homemade wine and tomato sauce were annual traditions but he was especially proud of his vegetable garden.

He will be loved, deeply missed and forever remembered by all of his family and friends.

Family and friends may visit (WITH RESTRICTIONS) at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W., Toronto on Thursday, September 24th from 3pm – 8:30pm.

The Funeral Mass (WITH RESTRICTIONS) will be on Friday, September 25th at 11am at St. Clare’s Catholic Church, 1118 St. Clair Ave .W.
