OLeary MichaelO’LEARY, Michael Joseph - (1945-2020) -

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our Mike peacefully, at home, surrounded by his family on Monday, September 28, 2020.

Beloved husband of Annette for 41 years.

Loving father of Sean and Karen (David Calitri).

Grandpa Mike to Isabella and Michele.

We take comfort in knowing that he is reunited with his late parents, Joe who he missed in his life for so long as he passed away young and Isabel who he loved and adored.

Mike was a family man who valued and enjoyed many of the simple pleasures in life: a Saturday night square dance, holding hands or a Sunday drive with his wife, visits with his mom, siblings and their families, in laws and their families, a good conversation, a cold beer and anything his children or grandchildren wanted to do.

Mike’s most enduring life legacy will always be his unwavering commitment, love and devotion towards his wife, children and grandchildren. We will forever miss seeing his acknowledging wink, his beautiful blue eyes that could twinkle a hello and his infectious smile that made you feel instantly happy.

Arrangements with Dixon-Garland Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at 11 am, at St. Patrick’s Parish, 5633 Highway 7, Markham (limited to 70 people). Followed by a private family burial.

A special thanks to Dr. S. Marisette, Markham, Dr. Fred Hui, Toronto, Dr. Mary Kay Ross Savannah, GA, Cassandra and the Staff at the Alzheimer’s Society Stouffville Day program and also to the folks from Evergreen and SRT Med Staff.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada or to Evergreen.
