Cortese BrunoCORTESE, Bruno - Bruno Cortese was born on September 5, 1941 in Chiaravalle Centrale, Calabria, Italy. He passed away at the age of 79 years on October 16, 2020 in Toronto, Canada.

He passed away peacefully while he was surrounded by the love of his wife, Antonietta Cortese and his immediate family.

He is the beloved father of Cathy (Tony), Silvia (Marcus) and Fausto (Patrizia). Bruno is the cherished Grandfather of Luca, Sofia, Giulia, Siena, Matteo, and Alessia.

Bruno was a quiet man of strong convictions, with undying belief in the value of family, education, hard work, and the overall social good. He continuously aimed to help others and always had kind words and stories to share. He will be deeply missed, but forever loved and remembered by all of his family and friends.

RESPECTING COVID RESTRICTIONS, Family and friends may visit at Jerrett Funeral Homes, 1141 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto on Monday October 19, 2020 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm.

The Funeral mass will be on Tuesday October 20th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 72 Mansfield Avenue, Toronto. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 7300 Highway 27, Woodbridge.

If desired, donation in Memory of Bruno may be made to Princess Margaret Hospital.

COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS affect all funeral gathering sizes inside a building. Abide by physical distancing rules. Wearing masks or face coverings is MANDATORY for all persons (funeral staff and attendees) inside all funeral facilities.
