ISETTA, Giovanni - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Giovanni Isetta born February 13, 1925 in Torino, Italy.
Giovanni passed away peacefully on October 17, 2020 at Mackenzie Health Hospital in Richmond Hill, Ontario at the age of 95 after a short battle with cancer.
Beloved husband of Renata and loving father to Claudio and Flavia (Michael) and cherished grandfather of Stefania.
Giovanni and Renata met in Italy while Renata was vacationing in the beautiful seaside town of Finale Ligure. Giovanni came to Canada with Renata when she returned. On September 19, 1959, they married and began their life together in Toronto, a union that would span for 61 years. During that time Renata and Giovanni had two children.
Giovanni being a double amputee, losing both legs in an accident when he was 29 years old in Australia, faced tremendous obstacles. But this never held him back from living a full and happy life as he had an incredible inner strength and zest for life.
Giovanni will be held dear in the hearts of all his family, relatives and friends.
Visitation and Service arrangements (RESPECTING COVID RESTRICTIONS) are entrusted with Ward funeral home, Woodbridge chapel.
