Monize KayMONIZE, Elizabeth 'Kay'On Sunday, October 18th, 2020, Elizabeth Kay Monize “Kay”, loving wife, mother of two children and grandmother of four children, passed away at age 81.

Kay was born on May 22nd, 1939 in Trinidad and Tobago to Edmund and Inez Rogers. She attended St Joseph’s convent and received her nursing degree from the General Hospital in San Fernando, Trinidad in the 60’s. She practiced as a nurse for almost 40 years in Toronto, Canada.

On September 26th, 1970, she married George Monize. They raised a son and a daughter, George Michael and Kristal Elizabeth.

Kay had tremendous love for family and an extremely generous nature, always doing for others first. She also loved to dance and was an avid music lover. Her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit will be missed.

Kay was preceded in death by her father Edmund and her mother Inez. She is survived by her husband George, her two children, George and Kristal, and grandchildren Gabriella, Carmen, Savannah and Lillian. Siblings Frank (Deceased), Irwin (Deceased), Eileen (Deceased), June (Deceased), Leroy (Deceased), Anne, Jean Bobbles and Grace. 

Arrangements with Scott funeral home, Mississauga chapel. Private viewings to be held Wednesday October 21st, followed by a funeral service Thursday, October 22nd. All are by invitation only due to COVID.

Donations may be sent to the Alzheimer Society of Peel.
