Burbank AidanBURBANK, Aidan Joseph - (February 10, 1999 – October 15, 2020) -

It is with great sadness that the family of Aidan Joseph Burbank announces his tragic passing on October 15th, 2020.

Cherished son of Niles and Martha Burbank, beloved brother of Bryn and Ava. Born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Aidan lived his whole life in Aurora.

Also survived by his four grandparents, Charles and Katherine Burbank, and T. Joseph and Linda Kenney, all of Kingston, Ontario. His ten cousins will sorely miss their great times with him, as will his aunts and uncles who cherished him so.

Aidan was a curious and adventurous outdoorsman, reader, budding archaeologist and historian. He was pursuing a degree in Environment and Natural Resources at the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton. Aidan was a talented athlete - a natural runner and avid hockey player with a particular love of pond hockey. He was a lifetime supporter of the Habs. If there was music in the house, it was Aidan home. He was a gifted musician with eclectic tastes. He had a deep attachment to the Rideau Canal, especially to his grandparents’ resort and the family lakeside cottage.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Nature Conservancy of Canada or Jack.org, or to any other charity in the fields of mental health or the environment.

Due to COVID restrictions please call (905) 727-5421 to register your attendance.

Visitation for Aidan will be held on Sunday, October 25th from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM and 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM, and 4:30 PM to 5:15 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G6W8.
