Kluzkowski BohdanKLUZKOWSKI, BohdanВічная Пам’ять

Bohdan Kluzkowski, 82 years old, of Mississauga, ON, has sadly passed away on October 18th, 2020.

He is survived by his 2 children, Helen and Stephan, and 2 grandchildren, Andrew and Mark. He is predeceased by his wife, Kateryna, who passed away in June 2016.

Bohdan was born in Denyska, Poland on January 7th, 1938. He relocated to L’viv, Ukraine during the 1950s, which he was pleased to call his home. He was a proud Ukrainian who enjoyed reading native literature and loved sharing his knowledge of the culture with his family and others. He worked in Ukraine as a welder, while his hobbies included fishing, mushroom picking and gardening. He was a devoted Catholic – a man faithful to the Church and who took the lead in celebrating all the religious holidays with his family.

Bohdan, together with his wife, Kateryna, and children, Helen and Stephan, immigrated to Canada in 1978 to start to a new chapter to their lives. In Canada, his first job was a machine operator at a paper factory, however he quickly progressed into the automotive industry as a part manufacturer with Magna International. He kept his job with Magna until his retirement in 2002.

The first church he and his family attended while in Toronto was the St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church off of Ossington Ave. After moving to Mississauga in 1986 with his wife, St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church became the family’s place of worship.

Even after Bohdan’s kids grew up and moved out, they were still extremely close to each other – family was always the main priority. He cherished the time spent with his Grandchildren, watching and looking over them as they grew up and also spent his remaining years living together with them. He was an avid watcher of Ukrainian movies, especially the classics.

Bohdan was a rock for his family – a man who symbolized the utmost strength to conquer any challenge he faced. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends in Canada, and his countless relatives still residing in Ukraine.

Arrangements with Scott funeral home, Mississauga chapel.
