Schroeder PatriciaSCHROEDER, Patricia Adel - Passed away (after a short illness) on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in Brampton, Ontario with family by her side at the age of 83.

She was the daughter of the late Ernie and Adelaide (Dell) Steel, originally from England.

Beloved wife of the late Hans Schroeder (2004).

Loving mother of Peter Schroeder (Julie) and Leslie Kaupert (Doug). Cherished grandmother of Cody & Parker Schroeder / Connor & Nathan Kaupert. Sister of the late Raymond Steel (Marilyn).

Pat had a real zest for life and was loved by all. As a young girl she was a dancer and recorded a 78-vinyl record with her tap dancing on one side and singing “I’m a lonely little Petunia in an Onion Patch” on the other side. As a young teenager she danced on TV. Later in life she had the opportunity to appear on the TV show “Thrill of a Lifetime” where she acted out a scene with the character “John Abbot” of the soap opera, Young and the Restless… a born entertainer.

Pat enjoyed clogging and after retirement she became involved in curling. Eventually Pat moved to Rosedale village where she enjoyed golfing, darts, bocce ball and lawn bowling. She was very enthusiastic about everything she did. She was a member of the Flower City Probus Club, Chinguacousy Curling Club and the Rosedale Village Entertainment Committee. She really loved making posters, decorations and giveaways for many dances and events.

A highly active, ambitious, admired and cherished friend to many and an amazing Mum and Nana. She will be greatly missed. Heaven has gained a beautiful soul.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in the new year. Arrangements with Andrews funeral home, Brampton.

Donations in Patricia’s memory may be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
