MARINIER, Shirland Pearl Emilie - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Shirland Marinier in Scarborough on November 27, 2020 at the age of 79.
Shirland was the beloved sister to Roger Mariner, Aunt to Christopher Mariner, Paul Mariner and Janene McMullen.
She also leaves behind great nephews Craig, Chase, Mark, Kevin, Shane and Brian and her friend of many years Freda Russell and family.
Cremation has taken place and a Private Memorial Visitation and Service is scheduled for Friday December 4th at Ogden Funeral Home in Scarborough. Interment will take place at Resthaven Memorial Gardens where Shirland will be reunited with her loving parents Nelson and Ida.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the viewing and funeral are limited to 9 attendees. Please reach out directly to the family if you are interested in attending. In addition, if you are interested in recieving a portion of Shirland's cremated remains please contact the family by the evening of Thursday, December 3rd.
Little known fact - while Aunt Shirl was in Sudbury in her earlier years, she was asked out by Alex Trebek. She declined though!
