Bailey LauraBAILEY, Laura "Eileen"   - September 7, 1938 - November 27, 2020

With sadness, we announce the passing of Eileen, age 82, at Milton District Hospital, a victim of Covid-19. She will be forever missed by family and friends.

Born at home in Appin, Ontario she moved to Milton in 1948.

Survived by brother James Bailey (Ingrid), sister-in-law Linda Bailey, niece Ann McEachern (Bob), nephews Paxton, Scott and Michael Bailey, grandniece Sydney (Henry) and grandnephew James McEachern, step-great-grandniece Aria and cousins in Hamilton, London and Peterborough.

Predeceased by parents Christina and Edwin Bailey, brother Ken (Linda) and infant nephew Byron Bailey. Long time friend of Tom Dear, deceased 1997.

Eileen was a legal secretary for 34 years, attended St. Paul's United Church for over 70. Volunteered at church and the Senior's Centre, supported charities, hospital, church, the arts and local events. Member of the Horticultural Society, played euchre, cribbage and yes, occasionally bingo. She enjoyed bus day trips and travelled the world. Photography was a hobby. Liked movies and live music performances.

For years, she was a presence around town until ill health compromised her life style. Was a resident of Allendale for 16 months.

Thanks to family, friends, doctors, nurses, PSWs and volunteers for assisting Eileen during the last three years.

Cremation has taken place. Interment service and celebration of life are on hold.

If desired, make memorial donations to Milton District Hospital Foundation, St. Paul's United Church, Allendale or the charity of your choice.
