PARIKH, Virginia - Age 76, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2021 at Grace Hospital in Scarborough Ontario.

She was born August 16th, 1944 in Caoayan, Philippines to Alfredo and Asuncion Garduque.

Virginia was a hardworking and gifted student.

She attended the University of Santo Tomas in Manila and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the age of twenty on May 18th 1965.

In 1966, she obtained a nursing opportunity in Ottawa, Canada and then settled into her career a couple of years later in Toronto. She ended up working as a registered nurse for the Toronto healthcare system for over 35 years.

In 1969, she met her husband and got married November 16th, 1974. They started a family and gave birth to their first son in 1976 and their second son in 1983. They then bought their forever home in Scarborough Ontario in 1984.

Virginia was a devoted wife, faithful catholic, dedicated professional and incredible mother. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, playing mah-jong, being with her grandchildren and helping those in need. Virginia was a generous and thoughtful person who always asked the right questions. She always wanted those around her to seize the day and make the most out of their opportunities.

She is survived by her spouse Mahesh Parikh, children: Rikesh and Michael Parikh, and grandchildren: Liam, Nikaash, Nivaan and Maddox Parikh.

She will be deeply missed by many friends and family, mainly her siblings: Espee Abalos, Emma Garduque, Vilma Autencio, and Willy Garduque. Her daughters-in-law: Meenu Walia and May Salayo. Her nieces and nephews: Awee, Ching, Rodel, Sheila, Gemma, Alvin, Edward, Gina and Kevin.

She is predeceased by Alfredo Garduque, Asuncion Garduque, Romeo Garduque and Evelyn Arde.

Cremation will take place January 12, 2021.

At this time, donations in her memory can be made to her favorite childcare centre, St. Mary of Leuca Daycare in Markham Ontario.
