DI MARSICO, Domenica “Chella” - Peacefully passed away on January 8, 2021, in her loving home on her favourite chair from natural causes at the age of 90.
She will be forever missed by her husband Vincenzo.
Cherished by her dear children Agostino, Graziella (Alvaro) and Brigit. Proud nonna to Melissa (George), Vince (Claudia) and Vito.
Adored bisnonna to Constantinos and Mariana.
She will be held dear in the hearts of her siblings in Italy, cousins, friends and zia to many nieces and nephews. She will always be remembered by Mary Di Marsico.
Chella was the heart and soul of the Di Marsico Family. She always sacrificed her needs for the good of the family. She taught them the importance of family, love and laughter. She loved children and that was clearly seen by the way she cherished and treated her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all the children she babysat.
One thing that everyone will miss is her delicious cooking; from her mouth-watering lasagna with mini-meatballs to her sopressata that we all fought over. She also had a green thumb which was evident through her love of gardening. Everything she touched seemed to bloom. Chella loved music. Her singing was like food for the soul. Her memory will forever live on inside each and every one of us who knew her.
In memory of Domenica “Chella” Di Marsico, donations can be made out to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private visitation and funeral service will be taking place in private with immediate family members only.
As we continue to pray for an end to this horrible virus, the Di Marsico Family would like to thank you for your support during their time of sorrow.
