FLEMING, Dorothy - Peacefully passed away on January 7th, 2021 at the age of 99 surrounded by family.
Beloved wife of the late Robert Fleming. Loving mother of Susan and the late Robert “Bob” Fleming.
Cherished grandmother of Iain (Alicia), LeighAnne (Don), and Robert (Jessica). Dorothy was blessed with six great-grandchildren Lauren, Elizabeth, Noal, Carter, Jasmine, and Sebastian.
She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Dorothy was born in Toronto on January 11, 1921. She worked for the Ministry of Agriculture from 1962 until she retired in 1977. She took early retirement and enjoyed traveling the world with her husband and soul mate.
As an avid traveller and long-time “snowbird” until the age of 80, Dorothy’s favourite pastime was spent in Florida and in Toronto. She was socially active at the Syme Seniors Centre until well into her 90’s.
Dorothy’s strength has been a source of inspiration to all the knew her and was loved by everyone. She will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
Respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions. A private family service will be held on Friday, June 18 at 1 p.m.
