MAINELLA, Liberato Antonio 'Tony' - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Liberato Antonio Mainella on January 7, 2021, having recently completed his 82nd trip around the sun.
Loving husband of Carmela and beloved father of son Jeffrey and his wife Daphne, and daughter Diana Parker and her husband Collin. Proud grandfather of Justin, Victoria, and Nicole Parker, Jeremy and Adam Mainella.
Adored son of the late Carmine, he is survived by his loving mother Domenica and siblings Dominic and wife Christina, Michael (Mike), Salvatore (Sam) and wife Antonia, Lena, and Maria (Mary).
He will be fondly remembered by his siblings-in-law Michael and Lorraine Montanaro, and Rita and Joe D’Aquila, along with his many nieces and nephews and their families.
He touched so many different lives. With over 40 years as a hairdresser standing behind the chair, listening, laughing, and bringing love to all those around him, and to all those at Wasaga’s Prime Time Club and Mississauga Seniors Centre, he cherished each relationship he formed along the way.
He will always be remembered for his passion for gardening, fishing, and playing pool, but most of all for his love of life and family. We take comfort in knowing he “did it his way."
Arrangements entrusted with Scott funeral home, Mississauga chapel. Due to Covid-19 restrictions as mandated by the Province and Bereavement Authority of Ontario, the visitation and funeral service will be held privately. For those who wish to live stream the funeral service, please use the following link on Sunday January 10th at 2:00 pm, the Funeral Service will begin at 4:00 pm. You may use the same link on Monday January 11 at 11:00 am for the service at the cemetery.
