Robinson IngerROBINSON, Inger Lise (Jensen) - It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Lise Robinson in her 91st year on Saturday January 9, 2021, after battling a stroke.

She was a loving mother to Janice (Joe) and Wendy (predeceased).

A fantastic Grandma to Nicole (Matthew), Jennifer and an ecstatically proud Great Grandmother to Madelynn.

She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and friends from Canada, United States and her native, Denmark.

Lise (as she was known by family and friends) was a brave soul who immigrated to Canada at the age of 17. She was known for her contagious smile, determination, kind heart, sense of humour and stylish clothing. Lise also had many talents, as our homes are filled with her embroidery, knitted sweaters, big pom pom hats, and many of the gorgeous dresses she crafted.

She was thrilled to become a first time Great Grandmother, when Madelynn arrived in January 2020. She loved spending time with her; playing and singing her Danish nursery rhymes. When Madelynn was around, she was guaranteed to always have a big smile.

We would like to thank the staff at Sunnybrook Hospital and St. John’s Rehabilitation Centre for helping Lise overcome the initial stroke. They worked with her diligently to get her home for Christmas. We are immensely grateful to the Brampton Civic Hospital staff for their help and support during her second wave of health challenges. The Cardiology and Palliative care teams were amazing during this time of COVID. They never gave up. Thanks to Dr. Loka, her family physician for his diligent, supportive care of her.

Due to the COVID restrictions, the family will be having a private celebration of life at this time. The family will host a celebration of life for Lise in the future for all family and friends. Time and date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Diabetes Association in Inger Lise’s name.
