Carella NicolaCARELLA, Nicola Vito – Born in Carbonara di Bari on April 5th, 1938, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 12th, 2021 in Mississauga (Ont.).

Beloved husband to Rosemarie, who predeceased him in 2014 and the loving father of Linda (Bruno) and Steven (Maita). Grandfather of Christopher, Matthew and Zachary.

Brother to Teresa (†Bruno) and to †Nicola (Noreen), who predeceased him on January 10th, 2021.

Nicola will be missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and the community and staff at Amica City Centre.

Nicola came to Canada with his family when he was 16. He was an honest, kind, generous and hardworking family man, he married Rosemarie, the love of his life, on August 19th, 1961 and worked at the Toronto Star as a foreman on the rotogravure presses. Nicola was also very talented and played the trumpet and was a singer.

Due to Covid restrictions Nicola will have a private burial with immediate family only. Arrangements entrusted with Scott funeral home, Mississauga chapel.

Once it is safe again family and friends are welcome to visit him at St. John's Dixie Cemetery in Mississauga.
