ROSEN, Fay - With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Mom on January 16, 2021.
Fay Rosen, 91 years young, was married to her teenage sweetheart for 68 years, the late Sam Rosen. Originally from Montreal, they moved to Toronto to be with their 3 adult children. Together they made many new friends, spent winters in Florida, and travelled the world.
After her husband’s passing, there wasn’t a Seniors group that she didn’t join.
Being with her at Betel, there wasn’t anyone she didn’t know. She had canasta friends and her Maj Jon group. She was the “Good Will Greeter” at her condo where she sat outside every day in the summer and said hello to everyone that passed by. While she was not well at home in the last couple of months, the phone rang constantly with friends and neighbours who called to check up on her.
She was close to everyone in her family, cousins, sisters in law, nieces and nephews, enjoying nothing more than big family dinners and holiday get togethers. Above all, Fay was a loving Mother and mother in law, to her children, Rosie and David Sherman, Sharri and Phil Shugar, and Jerry Rosenstein. Devoted grandmother to Matthew, Michelle and Jaclyn.
No matter how she was feeling, her family’s well-being was always her primary concern. She will always be loved and sadly missed by all who knew her.
