Brown JackBROWN, Reginald John 'Jack' - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Reginald John “Jack” Brown on Thursday January 14, 2021 at the age of 86, after a two week battle with COVID-19.

Jack is now reunited with his loving wife of over 62 years and best friend, the late Beverley Beacroft (February 2020).

Wonderful dad to Anne (Andrew Byerlay) and Karen (Stephen Ansell). Cherished Grandpa to Graham Ansell and Ryan Byerlay. Loved and missed by his sister Sylvia Jewison, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Valerie and Peter Mortenson. Predeceased by his parents Reginald and Harriet Brown.

Jack was a proud Chartered Accountant who not only worked for Revenue Canada for 31 years, but also lovingly volunteered his financial, accounting and leadership expertise to such groups as the Men’s Probus Club of Newmarket, Newmarket’s Trinity United Church, the Newmarket Seniors’ Meeting Place and in earlier years, Iondale Heights United Church in Scarborough.

He enjoyed being the co-ordinator and participating in the Bridge Club at the Newmarket Seniors’ Meeting Place as well as singing in the Keynotes Choir.

Jack was a private, kind and loving father who always put his family first. He will be truly missed.

Due to pandemic restrictions, a private burial has taken place. Friends and family are invited to join a virtual Celebration of Life for Jack on Thursday January 28th at 2pm. Please visit the Roadhouse and Rose funeral home website for more information and a link to the service.

If you wish to make a donation in memory of Jack, please consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, Diabetes Canada, Alzheimer Society of York Region, Newmarket Food Pantry or a charity of your choice.

God Bless Dad. We love you.
“Forever in our hearts”
