Waginski JanWAGINSKI, Jan Andrzej - (10 December, 195015 January, 2021) -

Jan Andzrej Waginski was born in Warsaw, Poland. His father was a businessman and his mother made clothes. Jan was an only child.

At an early age, Jan developed a passion for photography, which defined much of his life. He first did weddings and then branched out into product shots and architectural photography.

But he wasn’t just a photographer. He learned whatever skills were necessary to meet the challenges of the day. He spent a lot of time working on his house. An outstanding amateur carpenter, he not only did framing but he also built many pieces of furniture in his home. He took a lot of aerial photos; on the way to shoot locations, he learned to fly from the pilot.

When the digital photography revolution began, he saw the writing on the wall and went back to school to get his realtor license as he was intimately familiar with the field. Over the last few years, he helped not only his family but also looked out for his elderly neighbours, helping them sell and buy homes at cost, saving them and their families enormous expenses.

Jan was introduced to his wife, Barbara Anna Czechowska, 51 years ago. He fell in love instantly. They were together until her passing in 2018. Jan leaves behind two children, Jan Jr. and Basia Jr., as well as two grandchildren, Max and Leo. Jan was very proud of his children’s achievements.

He passed away at Toronto General Hospital. Funeral Services will be private for family. Arrangements entrusted with Kane-Jerrett funeral home, Thornhill.

Dad, we will miss you forever.
