LAKE, Donald Arthur - (1939 - 2021) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Arthur Lake on Tuesday January 19, 2021 at North York General Hospital.
Born January 8, 1939 in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Son of the late Alfred James and Ethel (Taylor) Lake.
He was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Lillian Eileen (Rorison) Lake and his sister Eileen (DeMone) and brother George. He is survived by his two children Gwyneth Ivy Lake (North York) and Steven Douglas Lake (Ayr) and grandchildren Lauren Isabella and Ryan Charles Lake.
Donald was a long-time caretaker with the North York School Board for 35 years.
He enjoyed playing euchre, golf, and travelling, especially back to Nova Scotia to visit family and friends.
The family would like to thank Donna, Joselin, and Denis, who helped him in his last years.
He will be greatly missed by the family cat, Ivie.
Arrangements are entrusted with Kane-Jerrett funeral home. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no visitation and the funeral will be private. The family does invite you to join them virtually for service through a link, which is posted below, on Friday January 22nd, beginning at 10 am.
