JOHNSTON, David Gordon - It is with great sadness to announce the passing of David peacefully on Saturday January 16, 2021, at the age of 72.
He is predeceased by his parents Archie and Dorothy (Coomer) and brother Jim (Rip) Johnston by one day.
He will be deeply missed by Jay Brown, children Tennille (Sebastian) and Daryl Johnston, and favourite grandson Jackson.
My dad was the kindest man I have ever known. He would do anything for anyone if it made them smile or helped improve their day. He was dedicated to his job as he enjoyed working with many great people who became close friends.
Dave had a love of sports, particularly baseball and hockey, in which he enjoyed watching and playing, especially with the Old Puckers hockey team.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Providence Palliative Care Centre, Lindsay and Nicky from Saint Elizabeth Health Care, and all the close friends who visited and called during the last few months which helped keep his spirits high playing a significant role in his well-being.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Dave’s life will take place once it is safe to do so.
