RYCKMAN, Faye Elizabeth (MADDOCK)  -  June 1, 1935 - January 14, 2021

Ryckman FayeIt is with great sadness that the family of Faye Elizabeth Ryckman announces her passing on January 14, 2021 at the age of 85.

Predeceased by her husband Lloyd and her daughter Susan Elizabeth, Faye will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jeff (Laura), Greg (Hughene), and Sally (Brian) and her grandchildren (who fondly called her "Gran"): Trevor, Samantha, Tyler, Kirsty, Bradley, Ethan and Georgia.

Countless nieces, nephews and extended family along with friends from Alliston, Brampton, Florida, and Wasaga Beach will miss her.

Born and raised in Toronto, Faye first met Lloyd at the age of 14 and dated him throughout her teenage years. They married in June 1955, just three days after her 20th birthday.

Faye was a loving and supportive wife, committed to her husband's growing business while ensuring that her family continued to be her primary focus.

Faye and Lloyd were happily married for 63 years and enjoyed travel, cruises, and hosting family get togethers and cocktail parties at their summer place in Wasaga Beach and at their winter home in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Faye was dedicated to her charity work serving on the Board of Ronald McDonald House Charities from 1975 to 1985 along with actively volunteering at Peel Memorial Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital. Fondly remembered for her sense of humour, Faye was an avid golfer and card player, who loved to knit.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at Amica Peel Village for their care and support.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Donations can be made to Ronald McDonald House and/ or Princess Margaret Hospital.
