Galloway KarenGALLOWAY, Karen Eileen   -  Karen passed away at the age of 74 years, on January 19, 2021, with her loving husband of 55 years, Peter, by her side.

Karen was born in Windsor, Ontario, on October 23, 1946 and met her husband, Peter while in Grade 9 at Oakville Trafalgar High School.

She graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts in French. Loving mother of Briar (Penny) Galloway and Jamie (Andrea) Galloway.

Dear grandma to Patrick, Sam, Graeme, and Luke.

Cherished sister of Laura (Ray) Andrews and Martha (Paul) Habermell. Karen will be missed dearly by her brother-in-law Rob (Donna-Lynn) Galloway, her niece and nephews Katie, Michael (Laura), John (Serana), her grandniece Emily and grandnephew Leo.

Karen was the centre of our family and provided guidance to all. Her beautiful heart and giving nature encircled all of her extended family and friends.

Karen was perhaps happiest when her family was gathered at her home to share a meal with love and laughter.

She will be especially missed at her grandsons' sporting events where players, coaches and other parents enjoyed her company and where she delighted in being a proud and caring grandmother.

She was an important part of Patrick, Sam, Graeme and Luke's lives. Karen worked for 35 years as the Business Manager of the Simcoe Medical Group where she formed many long-lasting friendships.

Karen was predeceased by her parents, Eva and Gerald Childerhose, and her brother-in-law Ian Galloway.

Karen was indeed a very special person and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
