ANDREWS, Anna Mae (nee DUFFIN) - Anna, age 100, after a long and full life, died on January 23rd, at home in Newmarket surrounded by her loving family.
She was born September 6, 1920 and one of four daughters to the late Thomas and Cassie Jane Duffin of Aurora.
Anna was the beloved wife and best friend of her one and only love of 49 years, to whom preceded her in death, Bruce Donald Andrews.
Loving mother to Brian (Jean Overell), Bill and Jane (Paul Owens).
Devoted grandmother to Julie, Scott, Marcedes, John-Rudy, Stephen and Jillian. Aunt to Carol Clarkson and Gary Cosgrove (Nancy).
Cherished friend of Jane Leeson, Brenda Owens, Juanita Sweeting and many others.
Anna was an active member of the UCW at Trinity United Church and member of the Davis Drive/Grace Street Bridge club for over 50 years.
Thanks to all health care providers. Gone but never forgotten, Anna's legacy will live on in the hearts of all those that knew her. Rest now Anna, Bruce will be so happy to see you.
As per Anna's wishes and in light of the current pandemic, there will not be a service at this time.
Condolences can be sent in the form of a donation directly to the Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket, and/or the Canadian Chihuahua Rescue and Transport, in honour of Anna's love for supporting animals in need.
