DOUCETTE, Richard F. - (May 21, 1933 – January 20, 2021)
It is with broken hearts we sadly share the unexpected passing of our dad, Richard, after a very brief illness at Credit Valley Hospital on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 surrounded by his daughters.
He is now reunited with his loving wife, Pam (1991).
Richard is survived and lovingly remembered by his daughters Wendy (Brad), Kim (John) and Cathy (Nick). He was the adoring Namps to his grandchildren Tanya, Matt (Amber), Rick, Melissa (Ryan), Tabatha, Kati and Jordan; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Dad made such an impact on so many lives – whether it was a brief encounter or a lifelong connection.
He worked for the City of Etobicoke for 28 years doing general maintenance at many pools, rinks and parks.
He was an avid bowler and was part of The Greater Toronto Ten Pin Bowling Association for 30 years and was so honoured to be inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame in 2012. For many years along with his wife, Pam, they ran the Youth Bowling League at O’Connor Bowl West and he remained active in the bowling community until his passing.
We would like to extend heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the many doctors and nurses at Credit Valley Hospital. The care you gave Dad and the kindness you showed all of us will never be forgotten. To Nurses Jacque and Parvita for going above and beyond in arranging for us to be with Dad at his bedside during his final days, thank you just isn’t enough.
Our world is darker, but we now have a new bright shining star too look at each night.
Rest easy dad. You taught us well. We love you.
Arrangements entrusted with Scott funeral home, Mississauga chapel.
