Schliesser ErikaSCHLIESSER, Erika Erna - It is with sadness as we announce the passing of Erika Erna Schliesser of Mississauga, Ontario on Saturday January 23, 2021 in Trillium Hospital, in her 91st year.

She leaves her son Uwe Natho and daughter-in-law Ruth Natho of St. Catharines, Ontario, as well as her granddaughter Lorraine Natho and Alain Tremblay of Calgary, Alberta, her granddaughter Karen Natho and James Mandigo of Abbotsford, British Columbia, and her grandson Daniel Natho and Sofia Odsberg of Balsta, Sweden.

Erika also leaves her great-grandchildren Phillip Tremblay and Stephane Tremblay, Benjamin Mandigo, Nathan Mandigo and Lillian Mandigo, as well as Johannes Natho and Marcus Natho.

Erika was our favourite Mom and Omi and Omama. We all loved her recollections of growing up in wartime Berlin Germany and her brave adoption of Canada along with her husband Gunter Schliesser.

Omi always had her precious dog and chirping birds accompanying her in her kitchen as she danced to the radio music and the singing of her canaries. Erika was so proud of all her families who followed her example and excelled in their studies and in their chosen professional careers. How she cared for and was cherished by her many wonderful Mississauga Valley Blvd neighbours!

Arrangements entrusted with Scott funeral home, Mississauga chapel. With the Covid restrictions, there will only be a small gathering at the Cemetery on January 29th at 1:30 PM.

Sleep well Omama .. “Auf Wieder Sehen”.

In lieu of flowers or donations, in Erika’s memory, please have a toast in her honour.
