LIPSIT, David Christopher (Joe)   - Our family is saddened to announce that Joe passed away, on February 24, 2021, of complications following a cardiac arrest.

We are very thankful Mom and Margot were with him.

He was 56.

A longtime resident of Davisville, Joe was born in Montreal and grew up in the Town of Mount Royal and Toronto. He was a great athlete in his youth, and a bit of a daredevil.

Joe is survived by his mother, Marilyn Lipsit, Oakville, ON, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond, his sister Margot Mouret (Michel), Elora, ON, brother Bill (Janice McCann), Ottawa, and brother Jamie (Kim), Bedford, NS.

He was the proud "Uncle Dave" of Jessica Mouret (Donn Muirhead), Elora, ON, Alex Mouret (Alexandra Lacko), Victoria, BC, Chris Lipsit (Maggie Mulrooney), Truro, NS and Andrew Lipsit (Jessie), Enfield, NS.

He is also survived by five great-nephews, three great-nieces and cousin Steven Lipsit and his family in Saskatoon. Joe was predeceased by his father, E. Cameron Lipsit, in 2015.

We are deeply grateful for the compassionate care Joe received from Halton paramedics and the ER and ICU staff of Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.

If you wish, a memorial donation to the Oakville Hospital Foundation in his name would be wonderful.

And if you are walking in Davisville – or anywhere for that matter – say "hi" to the people you meet along the way.

Joe always did.
