Beattie IsobelBEATTIE, Isobel - She was surrounded by her three children who never left her side as she peacefully passed away on April 1, 2021.

Isobel Beattie was born on the 28th of May 1944 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She was the youngest of three daughters born to Mariah Johnston (Bloomfield) and John Johnston.

She had two older sisters, Patricia (Dunbar) and Margaret (Gray).

At the end of her life she looked forward to being reunited with her parents and sisters.

On September 15th, 1969 she married her husband, Roland Beattie and they recently celebrated 51 years of marriage.

The year after their marriage Isobel gave birth to their first child, a daughter, Rona Elizabeth.

Isobel, Roly and Rona immigrated to Canada in June of 1971 and proceeded to settle in Scarborough, Ontario. They welcomed two more children, Paul Anthony in 1972 and Patricia Marie in 1975.

Isobel was a most loving grandmother to Aedan Beattie, Tawni Chai, Cole Chai, Maddox Chai and Sophie Chai. Her grandchildren were her joy.

She was a beloved mother in law to Peter Chai, Denise Beattie and Jesse Jacobs.

After a 9 month battle with lung cancer, she died peacefully at home. In her last moments, she was surrounded by her loving family holding her hands. Her loss is immeasurable to us and as so many reach out to tell us how special she was, we realize that this loss is not solely ours. She will be deeply missed.

Due to COVID restrictions, the visitation and funeral services will be held privately by invitation only. Arrangements entrusted with McDougall and Brown funeral home, Scarborough chapel.

While the family wishes you could all be with them in their time of loss, they appreciate your kind words and condolences.
