KESTENBERG, Betty - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Betty “Nan” Kestenberg on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Toronto on June 19, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Libel and Freida Blatman; sister of the late Danny Blatman.
Devoted and loving wife of the late Louis Kestenberg. Nan will be dearly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Barry Kaufman; her grandchildren Ryan, Andrea and Shimmy, Justin, Aubrey and Ida, Jordanna and Frank; her great-grandchildren Jade, Jared, Brandon, Jenna, Cole, Julia, Daniel, Ethan, Austin, and Tyler.
Betty started “Betty Kestenberg Fashions,” a popular women’s clothing store fifty years ago. With hard work and dedication, she opened multiple locations and earned the title of “Fashion Icon.”
Although no longer in business, her fashion sense and legacy are still remembered and often recalled by loyal patrons, family, and friends. Betty will always be remembered by her style, infectious energy, loving nature, and most importantly - zest for life.
The family would like to express their gratitude to her caregivers Emily, Sila, and Sunita for taking care of Nan like one of their own these past months.
