REEVES, Marion Gladys Catherine - Born in Brixton, England on September 23, 1929, Marion died at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto on April 15, 2021 due to brain trauma from a fall.
Predeceased by her father William Davis, mother Alice (nee Keeble) and husband of 60 years Charles.
Mother to Catherine (Stephen Eiler) and Wayne (Julia Madden); grandmother to Rebecca (Emerson Christians) and David (Christine Branning) Waldman; great-grandmother to Tyron, Nadine and Atticus; sister to Eric and David.
A hop-picker in Kent during the Second World War, Marion came to Canada in 1953 to work at Yardley's.
After her 1954 marriage, she lived in Downsview (including 17 happy years at Casa Abruzzo), working at Canada Post and in the home and supporting stroke victims.
Besides her family, her passions were brisk walking, cats, African violets, puzzles, Nicholas Sparks novels, Jeopardy!, Woodbine races, bingo, dark ales, ginger cookies, Pho Mi Asia and drinking port with Reenie Alexander.
Marion will be cremated and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations in her name may be made to the Toronto Field Naturalists.
