CARTER, Gerald Alexander - After a brief battle with illness, Gerald Alexander Carter, of Tillsonburg, passed away at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, April 17, 2021, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 85 years.
Gerry was a loving and humorous husband of 57 years to his wife, Doreen (nee Adamson).
He was a wonderful father to his sons, Steve Carter and his wife, Heather, and Craig Carter.
Gerry was grandfather to Elizabeth and Jackson.
Brother to Donna McLean.
Gerry was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Jean (nee MacNair), sisters, Shirley and Mary Lou. Gerry worked at the Ford Motor Company, Oakville, for 37 years.
He was a proud member of the Tillsonburg Kiwanis. Cremation has taken place.
There will be a private graveside service at a later date in Fergus, Ontario.
Memorial donations to VON- Sakura House, Woodstock, may be made.
