BURT, John Francis - July 9, 1953 - May 6, 2021
It's with great sadness, the Burt/Halleran family announce the sudden passing of John Francis Burt with loving family by his side on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at age 67.
John will be remembered by his loving Wife of 43 years Melba Burt and children Laura (Eric), Cheryl (Leo), Crystal (Andrew), Julie (Martin), Johnny (deceased).
John will also be fondly remembered by his seven grandchildren Jacob (Kira), Joshua (Haley), Alexander, Cash, Jackson, Johnnie and Sonny.
Loving Son of John Patrick Burt (deceased) and Florence Theresa and missed by siblings Margaret, Louise (deceased) (Brian), Edmund (Rose), Chris (Nancy).
John will be forever remembered by his nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. John was a longstanding member of the Teamsters Brotherhood.
Served as the President of Teamsters Local 230, board member for Teamster Canada.
Starting his career in Construction as a Civil maintainer, then Readymix Driver to Chief Stewart and Business Representative. John had the "gift of gab", made everyone around him laugh.
He was a hard worker and loved his family more than anything. John was the life of the party and will be sadly missed.
We are unable to have a service due to COVID-19 at this time, but we will have a Celebration of Life in the future.
