Rea RestitutaREA, Restituta - January 12, 1923, to May 14, 2021 - It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Nonna, Restitua Rea surrounded by her loving family.

Born January 12, 1923, in Sora Italy, to (Luigi & Maria Palleschi).

Devoted wife of the late Luigi Rea (pre-deceased January 1968).

Cherished mother of Anna (Rob), Franco (Liann) and Maria.

Adored Nonna by Alexandra and Kathleen. Step-Nonna to Ashley (Shane), Michael (Renee), Patrick, Kaity (deceased) and big-Nonna to Mikey, Peighton, Joey, Zachery, Maddie, Grace, April, and Summer.

Beloved sister to Luisa, Gino (Assunta), Vincenza (Lorenzo), Domenic (Anna), Santina (Carlo), Maria (Biagio).

Lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends alike.

After making the decision to pursue a better life for her husband, and her newborn daughter, Restituta and Luigi emigrated to Canada in 1956. The new world brought two more children, and the Rea’s were a family of five with Anna, Franco and Maria keeping them busy. Surrounded by her and her husband’s siblings, Restituta carried on raising her three children after the tragic passing of her husband in 1968.

Her steadfast faith, and inner strength carried the course of the rest of her life as the matriarch of the family. Her humility and love for everyone she met could fill a room and set an example for all those that knew her.

Her love of being a Nonna resulted in an early retirement at the age of 75 to dote on her two granddaughters and shape them into the people they are today.

Restituta loved to share a glass of wine at a table with great food, surrounded by family and friends making memories that will carry us all onward.

For those that wish to, in lieu of flowers we please ask that a donation be made in her honor at the following three charities;
The Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or SickKids.

Due to the Covid19 restrictions in Toronto, that allow a maximum number of guests to attend a visitation, the details and attendants will be by invitation only.

The family thanks you for your support and understanding in this difficult time.
