Cesaroni SabatinoCESARONI, Sabatino   - November 28, 1935 - June 7, 2021

Loving and devoted husband, caring father and doting grandfather, Sabatino (Sam, Sammy) Cesaroni passed away peacefully on June 7, 2021, surrounded by those closest to him.

Born on November 28, 1935, in Raiano, Abruzzo, Italy to Lucia and Achille Cesarone and youngest brother to four siblings, Sam immigrated to Canada in 1953, at the age of 17.

Upon arrival and settling in Toronto, he got straight to work, his skills as a plasterer garnering notice and building a reputation as a reliable and trustworthy master craftsman.

This talent in hand, he then moved on to contribute to the creation of some of Toronto's most enduring and recognizable architectural landmarks, shaping the iconic skyline of the city that is known worldwide today.

Meanwhile, during this time on St. Clair West in downtown Toronto, he met the woman that would become the other half of his longest-lasting partnership: Rosina (Mauti) Cesaroni. With Rosina, they created a family unit and structure that stands strong and unwavering today, growing each year as a result of the faultless foundation that they laid together six decades ago.

Sam was predeceased by his parents, Achille and Lucia, his brother Giuseppe and is survived by his brother and sisters whom he loved dearly. He will be profoundly missed by his children, Elena, Laura (Richard), Tina (Andrew), Joseph (Diana) and his grandchildren, Jean-Paul, Victoria, Liam, Annie, Damian, Klara, Sabatino and Valentina.

A true model of the Canadian immigrant story, with a deep love and commitment to his country and exemplifying the values of hard work, perseverance, morality, and the creation of opportunity for others, he will be forever in our hearts and present through our actions.

Due to current circumstances, a private family ceremony will be held.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Sunnybrook Foundation (Odette Cancer Centre) or Lymphoma Canada.
