MORDEN, Joyce (Campbell) - The loving wife of John Morden for 64 years, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2021 in her 87th year.
She shared her life with her daughters Mary and Martha; sons-in-law Vernon Fernandes and Rocco De Simone; grandchildren Carly, Johanna, Jeremy and Taylor; along with her brother Peter Campbell and sister-in-law Cathy Campbell.
She was predeceased by her sister Mary Richardson, and her parents Mary Campbell and Senator G. Peter Campbell.
As a true Toronto mid-towner, Joyce lived her entire life within a small radius around St. Clair and Yonge where she grew up, went to Bishop Strachan School, and later raised her own family. Many neighbourhood friendships were formed over her 40 years on Garfield Avenue where she adored her home, and meticulously planned and hosted a vast variety of parties that she became well known for.
Joyce was generous with her time, and volunteered for the Princess Margaret Hospital Lodge where she always had a smile ready for someone in need. Her involvement crossed a range of capacities, and she was the President of Auxiliary from 1986 to 1988.
Joyce was also an active member of The Rosedale Presbyterian Church, a community that was very important to her. In her younger years, she served on many of their committees, and attended church every Sunday, seated beside John for over 40 years.
As many know, Joyce had a great love for her pearls, all things bright, and of course ice cream. To honour her, consider wearing pearls and bright colours while eating a bowl of ice cream this summer — she would love that!

The family is eternally grateful to Joyce’s private caregivers — Mafe, Letty and Lisa — for their dedication, ability to anticipate Joyce’s every need, and most importantly, their commitment to providing loving companionship.
