MACDONALD, James Bristal (Jim)   -  March 31, 1952 - May 14, 2021

Jim slipped away suddenly leaving his family and friends heartbroken.

His life force was exuberant, hard to ignore.

Much loved by his partner of 40 years, Sue Fisher, he was devoted to her and her family.

He looked after people.

Jim's parents, A.A. (Bill) Macdonald and Joy Bristol Macdonald loved him unconditionally, accepting his love of adventure and speed. He was a born racer, a natural sailor, a fearless skier.

His smile reflected his boldness and intelligence.

The family cabin at Lake WahWashKesh was the place where Jim and siblings, Sheila and Jock truly bonded - a bond deepened by the arrival of Jock's son, Iain. The gang of four.

After high school Jim took a course in heavy equipment and honed his craft in the Northwest Territories, working with cranes which suited his talents perfectly.

Back in Toronto he soon became a legendary crane operator.

Early spring and late fall were sacred times for Jim and Sue at the cabin.

Jim had a profound relationship with the north and dedicated these holidays to reading and planting trees.

Consider planting a tree in Jim's memory.
