BERGIN, Robert Maurice - (1926 - 2021) - Peacefully passed away, at Queen’s Estates Wednesday, June 30, 2021.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Madeline in June 2016.
Cherished dad of Judy Thompson, Madeline Bergin and the late Andrew Bergin. Proud grandad of Jeffrey, Mark and Craig and great grandad of Barrett.
In 95 years of living, Dad was on the Executive of Finchurst Boys Club while Ange played hockey; Shop Steward at times while working at Cooper & Beatty for more than 50 years, and a life-long card carrying Liberal.
Mom and Dad danced in clubs across North York well into their 80’s. Their love of dancing began at Dunn’s Pavilion in Bala, Muskoka even before they were married. Our parents at The Kee to Bala! Mad & Bob’s early love of Muskoka began a lifetime of cherished memories for the entire family that endures today.
We would like to thank the Home & Community Care workers and the neighbours Dougald, Lynn & Chris and Halina for helping Dad to stay in his home as long as he was able.
A family graveside service will be held later in the summer. Arrangements entrusted with Kane-Jerrett funeral home.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North York General Hospital.
