Zundov NaumZUNDOV, Naum - Also known as Norman, Nume, Zunda, grandpa, great grandpa, tato, vujc, depending on who knew him.

Died unexpectedly and peacefully on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Michael Garron Hospital at the age of 88.

Survived by only daughter Dijana (Dimitris), who managed to be by his side to give him comfort in the hours before his death, despite the COVID restrictions.

Survived by his two cherished adult grandchildren Norman and Julianna (Jason) and and his great grandchild Emmett.

Predeceased by beloved wife Spasena of 45 years. Predeceased by parents Maria and Ilia, as well as his 3 siblings, Jani, Sofia and Hristina.

Zunda was well known in the Macedonian and Serbian communities through his music, playing both the clarinet and saxophone and he was a virtuoso with the frula. He had perfect pitch and could play a song after hearing it only once. He started his musical career at Radio Televizija Skopje and continued playing music when he immigrated to Canada in 1971.

He was also a lifelong employee at CP Rail as an electrician and loved doing something he called “performance and modification”.

Zunda was a living legend, the life of the party as he always commanded a room when he entered it. He missed his wife terribly and, although he put on a brave front, he is now reuniting with his lifelong partner he used to call “Palence”.

Family and friends will be received at Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto on Wednesday, July 14th. Funeral service on Thursday, July 15, at 10 a.m. at St. Clement Orthodox Cathedral, 76 Overlea Blvd., Toronto. Interment to follow. Due to Covid restrictions, it is advised if you can reserve a spot at Heritage by calling.
