Zarkos AnZARKOS, Anthoula - 1941-2021 - Passed away on July 11, 2021.

Our dearest mother, Anthoula, passed away peacefully on a beautiful July day. She leaves behind her loving daughters, 7 grandchildren, her son in-laws and many many family members and friends.

Mom was born in Argirohori, Epirus, Greece. She was the third child and only daughter of Olga Batsidis (Pappas) and Nicholas Batsidis. She was the most loving mother to her three daughters: Helen, Olga and Yianna, mother in law to
Peter and Dimitri.

Mom was a huge part of her grandchildren’s lives, she will be greatly missed by all 7 of them: Arianna Anthi, Aggelis, Elena, Anthi Nasia, Kyra Anastasia, Konstantina and Faith Nicole.

She was predeceased by her 2 brothers, Anthony and John. She leaves behind her brother, Arthur.

Although she was immensely involved in her grandchildren’s lives, she still had time to enjoy volunteering at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox church, travelling, spending time with the family and friends.

Mom enjoyed her work as a caretaker and kitchen staff for the TDSB. Learning to cook new foods and her many interactions with her coworkers and students at the schools she worked.

She enjoyed her evening walks, whether it was saying hello to neighbours or taking in the weather.

She was the strongest most caring and loving woman, beautiful inside and out. Always independent, thinking of others and had a wonderful adventurous soul.

We have many beautiful memories of our mom to treasure, and wish to thank family and friends for their love and prayers. She will forever be in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at Highland Funeral Home, Scarborough on July 15th. The service will take place at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 3840 Finch Ave E, Scarborough on July 16th at 10:00 A.M.
