Fattore RitaFATTORE, Rita - It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Rita Fattore on July 11, 2021. She passed peacefully, with her family by her side, at Mackenzie Health hospital, at the young age of 58.

Rita will be dearly missed by her mother Maria Fattore, siblings Nola Fattore (Gary Soper), Nick Fattore, and Emily Fattore (Phil Leitao) and nephew and niece, Tiago Leitao and Isabella Leitao.

She was adored by her nephew and niece and was so proud to be known as Zia Rita.

She also carried a very well-deserved family nickname, “She-Ra” (Princess of Power). She frequently shared that it was the immense love for her dear family that kept her so strong.

Anyone who knew her was inspired by her incredible strength, resilience, and contagious laugh. She was dealt a difficult life from the day she was born, but defeated the odds time and time again, as she fought with grace, humour and tenacity, always managing to find gratitude along the way. Even in her darkest times, she always seemed to put the needs of others before her own. She was a role model for us all and we will miss her beyond words can describe.

A private visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home, Woodbridge on Tuesday, July 20th, with an open memorial mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (300 Ansley Grove, Woodbridge), and a private laying to rest at Glendale Cemetery.

If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Hospital for Sick Children would be truly appreciated.

Rest in Peace our Beautiful Soul.
