KAROLIDIS, Fotios - Passed away on July 12, 2021.
Fotios was born in Sidirokastro, Greece on November 9, 1927; son to parents Theodosios and Soultana Karolidis.
While he was still young, he and his family moved to and lived in Kastoria, Greece. He served in the Greek military as a medic during the Greek civil war.
He moved to Canada in the 1950’s where he married his wife, Vasiliki (Koula) Vlahos.
Although they didn’t have any children, they had many nieces and nephews who regarded the couple as second parents.
Fotios was predeceased by his wife, Koula, and his three sisters, Efstratia, Metaxoula, and Elli.
He is survived by his brother Constantine.
Visitation for Fotios will be held at Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto, on Thursday July 15, 2021. A funeral service will be held at St Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Thorncliffe Park Dr., Toronto, on Friday July 16, 2021 at 10:30 am. Interment to take place following church service.
