BASTA, Rocco - Peacefully on July 14, 2021 at the age of 87.
He will be forever loved by his wife, Vincenza.
Cherished by his dear children, Peter, Joe (Marianna) and Mario (Maria).
Rocco will never be forgotten by his grandchildren, Stefano, Marco, Anthony and Sabrina.
He is now reunited in heaven with his parents, Rocco and Cristina and his brothers, Peter, Antonio, Michele and Luigi.
Rocco will be forever missed by his sister, Giovanna.
Rocco was a very hard-working man who loved his family. He was very passionate about farming, Italian cars, soccer and was an expert ballroom dancer. His summers were spent at Rocco’s Tomato Farm and his winters down in sunny Florida.
He always had a smile on his face and he just LOVED life.
He will be held dear in the hearts of his family, relatives and many friends.
Visitations will take place at the DeMarco Funeral Home, Woodbridge on Friday July 16, 2021. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30am on Saturday July 17, 2021 at St. Wilfrid’s Roman Catholic Church (1675 Finch Avenue West, Toronto, Ontario). Entombment to follow.
If so desired, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society on behalf of the Basta Family.
