Clarke WimpennyCLARKE-WIMPENNY, Ave Maria Anne   - Ave Maria Anne Clarke-Wimpenny - a unique name for a very unique woman.

Suddenly, in the evening of July 12, 2021, at Health Sciences North Hospital in Sudbury, Ave Maria succumbed to cancer after a year-long battle.

Born June 9, 1956, she was raised in Oshawa until age 11 when she moved to Elliot Lake, Ontario, with her mother Maria and younger brother Reilly.

She graduated with honours from the University of Toronto with an undergraduate degree in psychology and art history.

When her son Michael-Anthony was three, she returned to university where she obtained a Masters of Divinity from Regis College.

Forever a dreamer, she further studied Jungian Psychology in Dublin, and Spiritual Direction in New Brunswick and Ontario.

She loved all things beautiful: flowers, seashells, butterflies, bright colours and sunsets, and enjoyed sitting on her deck having a coffee by her lilac bush while watching the birds and animals.

She is dearly missed by her son Michael-Anthony (Anna), mother Maria, brother Reilly (Pat), nieces Emily, Anjali and Adelaide, ex-husband Michael, as well as her many Flintoff, LaPrairie, Clarke and Barber aunts, uncles and cousins and the Tedesco family and friends.

Visitation will be held in Elliot Lake at Gentle Shepherd Christian Church on Friday, July 16th, 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 17th, 8:30-9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be at Paroisse Ste-Bernadette Parish, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with interment afterwards.
