WARD, Marguerite Eloise - January 13, 1935 - July 11, 2021
Passed away peacefully, at Parkview Home, Whitchurch-Stouffville, on Sunday, July 11, 2021, Marguerite Eloise (Marg) Ward of Toronto, in her 86th year.
Beloved partner of Hettie Smith, Bath, England.
Dear sister of John William (Jack) Ward and stepsister of Inez (Hill) Barrick. Loving aunt of Carol Irving, Kathryn Peever, Patti Terry, and Doug Hill.
Missed by great-niece Beatrice Irving.
Dear friend of Marilyn Goodman.
Predeceased by her parents Frederick Ward and Eloise Thomson, her brother, and her partner.
After graduating in Nursing from Wellesley Hospital, Marg served as a pediatric nurse at Sick Children's Hospital Toronto, and as a public health nurse with the Borough of North York and Surrey Place in Toronto.
In her spare time, she volunteered with the Girl Guides organization, and engaged in stained glass-making and woodworking. Marg was never without a pet dog or cat, and for many years she played an active part in People's Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).
According to Marg's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service; other arrangements are delayed because of COVID-19.
