WEILINGER, Ingeborg Anna 'Inge' - (May 26, 1932 July 12, 2021) -
Quietly and peacefully, Inge slipped away to join her beloved Leo on Monday July 12, 2021 at Sunrise of Aurora.
Family members were grateful to say goodbye, hold her hand and let her know she was loved.
Inge was born in Vienna, Austria and immigrated to Canada in 1952 with her husband Leo and her mother Augustine to begin a new life in Canada. They settled in the High Park area of Toronto, but as the family grew, moved to Richmond Hill then Aurora which they called home for over 60 years.
Inge and Leo worked hard together in so many ways to create a wonderful future for their family. Mom had many talents and interests, and for many years was a dedicated volunteer at Southlake Hospital. Although Inge contended with multiple medical challenges, she became an avid tennis player and runner who loved to compete. No matter how great the challenge, she took care of her family and was always there to help.
Her favourite pastimes were playing cards with Dad, reading, and German crosswords. Throughout the years, Inge and Leo created a lifetime of memories at the cottage with family near Huntsville, the winters on Singer Island, their tennis friends at Timberlane, the volleyball group and Mom’s ladies tennis league.
Inge was predeceased by Leo in 2019, her partner in life for 68 years; and leaves behind her daughter, Janis; granddaughter, Stephanie (Mathew) Urbanski; son, Gary (Monique); grandson, Nicholas (Kristyn); granddaughter, Caroline (Peter) Grant; and great grandchildren Thomas and Lillian; fondly remembered by older brother Ed Kutsky, Toronto.
In keeping with Inge’s wishes, she did not want a funeral, but would have wanted to acknowledge the caring team at Sunrise of Aurora who made her comfortable during the past months of her life.
