JAKYMYC, John (Ostap) - Passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021.

He was born in Germany on February 21,1949 and emigrated to Canada with his parents and brother Dave in 1952 where they settled in Toronto.

John always had a fascination with all things fast and will forever be remembered for his cherished 1969 black Chevy Ⅱ Nova.

Later he traded the fast lane of cars to the waters of Pigeon Lake, zipping around in his Seadoo Speedster Jetboat.

John tinkered and could fix almost anything and was always willing to lend a hand. He had a heart of gold and was a dedicated son who had a special bond with both his parents.

John is survived by his wife of 37 years Liz, whose heart will be filled with all their memorable adventures~ from their regular trips south to their travels along the Trent-Severn.

His memory will live on in the hearts of his siblings Dave (Karen), Orest (Rochelle), Mike (Bernice), Anna (James), and Irene.

He is predeceased by his parents Maria and Myron and brother-in-law Mark Celani.

His presence will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham on Wednesday, July 21st, 2021 with the service to follow.

No longer by our side,
but forever in our hearts.
